A lot of the trouble happens at home. Jamie works in the room where it actually goes wrong, with your routine in front of him.

Board & Train Has Two Phases
Most programs train the dog and hand it back. A trained dog going home to untrained handling goes straight back to where it started, so Phase 2 exists.

Jamie Owens
Jamie started learning and training dogs in 1991 and opened Superior K9 Training Solutions in 2010. Over the years the business has run on and off, but the work has not changed: the dogs other people have given up on.
Aggression is his specialty. He works one-on-one with every client and does not run group classes, because the dogs he takes on do not do well surrounded by other dogs and strangers.
There is no training facility. Board & Train dogs stay on his own fenced, secure property with kennels in the back, and the work happens in real places — because a dog that only behaves in a controlled room has not learned much.
He takes about four to five Board & Train dogs a month, roughly two at a time. That is deliberate, and it is why the calendar fills.

Is the consultation really free?
Yes. It is a phone call, roughly 15 minutes, with no card and no obligation. It is a conversation, not a training session. Jamie uses it to work out whether he can help your dog before either of you commits to anything.
My dog is aggressive. Will you still take him?
Aggression is Jamie's specialty, and it is most of what he does. If another trainer has already turned your dog away, say so on the call — it tells him what he is working with rather than putting him off.
Do you run group classes?
No. Everything is one-on-one. The dogs Jamie takes on generally do not do well surrounded by other dogs and strangers, and the owner needs his full attention too.
What happens on the in-person evaluation?
It runs about an hour to an hour and a half. Jamie talks through what your dog is doing, works with the dog himself, and shows you his approach so you can see it rather than take his word for it.
What is the difference between Board & Train and lessons?
Board & Train means your dog stays with Jamie and works every day, then he trains you to keep it going. Lessons mean you do the work between sessions with him coaching you. He will tell you on the call which one suits your dog and your schedule.
